If you enjoyed Underworld ~ Underworld Evolution is a must see. 'Cro and I just left the sneak peak of Underworld Evolution (thanks to Hwe for the hookup). Being fans of the first movie, we've been looking forward to the sequel ~ and we were not disappointed. The storyline of Evolution starts where the first movie left off, veering occasionally to fill in missing bits of history pertaining to the clans and their ongoing battle. The visuals are stunning ~ the characters were well done, especially Marcus in flight. I'd love to type more about the movie, but I'm afraid of putting out 'spoilers' (and frankly, I'm too tired to even think clearly atm). The two films fit together so seamlessly it would be worthwhile to give Underworld another go before heading to the theater to see Underworld Evolution.
There was one marked difference between the two films ~ Underworld's lack of skin wasn't very apparent to me until one particularly steamy scene in Evolution…prettiful.
The security for the screening was a bit irritating. After waiting in line, and almost making it to the door, it was announced that no cell phones with cameras were permitted. Freaking sweet ~ not only did I have my SideKick II in my bag, but I had another digital camera in the bag as well ('Cro was taking pictures of an antique something-or-other he had stashed in the warehouse earlier). Seriously ~ who would be interested in seeing crummy snap shots of a film due to be released in less than 24 hours? 'Cro had to run my bag, along with my contraband popcorn and smuggled drinks, back to the Jeep before he could enter the theater. Needless to say, I was ravenous by the time the movie let out (we skipped dinner in order to make it to the theater in time).
The highlight of the evening was just after the movie ~ chatting in front of the theater with several friends I haven't seen in ages. We really need to get things in order and start having a social life again (work be damned ;-p) The hubby and I are truly turning into an old married couple. We'll make up for it this weekend. I believe we're headed out to Mulligan's to see Sins of Lust play and then we'll be swinging by Masquerade for the suspension show.
For now ~ it's been a rough day at work and I'm ready to crawl into bed…after I feed the dogs…cats…etc…etc…sleeeeeeep

Ouch! Is he OK?
I feel for him. A full five weeks ago in the airport I tore some tendons in my foot and today I am still in horrible pain most of the day.

We plan on going out some night soon, with Hexy too…though I don't have the exact plans nailed down yet (Hexxt?) Hopefully we'll see you guys out.

Glad to hear it was good, sequels so often suck (and suck hard, at that). I just went out last week and bought the original on DVD so I could watch it prior to seeing this one.

He's fine. His toe looks like a giant black grape, he cries for sympathy when it suits him (”I need more chocolate pudding…*sniffle*) but otherwise he's still the man of steel he's always believed he was =)
