I’ve been asking ‘Cro to put up a small fence to keep Willa off of the walkway and to prevent her from running out of the gate if it is accidentally left open (it has happened before ~ Christine found Willa trotting up the road while we were at work). After a bit of thought it really didn’t seem like that much of a big deal to do it myself. I only needed a small three feet high by eighteen feet long garden fence to keep her contained to one side of the front yard (the part of the yard in which she stays is surrounded by a 5′ picket fence). Heh.
I was completely prepared for my little construction project ~ trowel, mallot, stakes, picket fencing, ties, marker, hammer, wire snips, screw driver…even bib overalls to carry all of the junk along with me. Aside from a tape measure I forgot the most important item of all ~ sun block. I am lobster-fied. A hat would have been nice ~ at least I could have saved my poor forehead the pain. Anyway, the fence is a little wavey looking from above, and a couple of the posts need to be repositioned…but, dammit, it’s finally up ;-p Well, I actually have about two feet left to put up ~ which I suppose I will finish tomorrow after work.
As you can tell by the photo Willa isn’t very happy about the whole deal…actually she looks a bit freaked in this photo (her eyes go buggy when she’s scared ={ )
‘Cro spent the day at Sid’s putting the finishing touches on this year’s suit ~ Jin Roh. I haven’t seen the suits yet, nor do I have even the faintest notion of exactly what Jin Roh is but I’m sure the suits are going to be a hit @ DragonCon.
I am so looking forward to Dragon Con ~ to hanging out with friends, watching the bands, being a silly drunk, … and actual ‘con’ stuff I guess(?). Most of ~ not dealing with the house or work for four fabulous days. It’s going to be a full house ~ Robin, ‘Cro, Joe & I are sharing a room at the Marriot this year.
Thanks to Eve for the photo caption (’Free Willa’)
