I screwed with the layout for my journal…again.

edit 2: I pulled a couple of images (including the animated photo-cube) from the side bar and that seemed to speed up the load time for the page.

  • the background ‘music’ is back,
  • I added a permanent component on top of the ‘entries’ page (I so love that picture!),
  • added page exit/enter fade,
  • changed the background image for my links (ghosty-grey for now but I’ll probably change it to red ;-p),
  • got rid of the weather sticker and put a 5-day forecast in it’s place,
  • completely removed the IM links as they hardly ever worked (and the images took forever to update/load);
  • corrected a few font issues
  • screwed with the title (not sure if I like it centered)
  • added a bit of code to make the actual page names appear

I still need to clean the code up a bit…lots of redundant crud.

Hopefully it’s not as crashy and most people won’t have trouble loading it…

edit: I changed tehe background image for links to red (go figure *shrug*) but I think the grey worked better…

Is it really hard to load? I’ll probably pull of the music and the enter/exit fade (resource eaters)…

I’d be glad to help you out with your journal layout =) Any ideas?
