Since so many people have been kind enough to express concern over Dweez’s health lately, and I’ve been a posting slacker lately, here is a quick update on the ol’ guy:
He’s doing much, much better ~ a little on the thin side but he’s eating on a regular basis. His eye has cleared up for the most part…it barely looks irritated now. He is reacting poorly to the flea situation (he’s allergic) but we’ve been working on getting rid of the lil’ buggers ~ or at the very least getting the population down. Aside from that he seems to be a happy kitty and has resumed pouncing on me while I sleep ;-p
Thank you for the well wishes and the concern {{{hugs}}}

The best way to get rid of fleas in the house is by having an exterminator come to your house and treat the whole place. The amount of money you will spend on flea foggers for each room, then having to do it two weeks later to re-treat to get the adult ends up costing you more in the end compared to an exterminator. I had the house treated 11 years ago for fleas for $75. I’ve not had a flea problem in the house, or on my pets since then. I currently do not use a once a month flea treatment for my 3 pets, either. Though, my dog runs out to do her business, then runs back inside, and the cats never go outside.
Heheh…that might be our next step. Scarecrow and I have already dropped some serious money into battling the flea infestation. The internet research I’ve done makes the whole process seem so intimidating…and lengthy. Stoopid bugs ;-p
