So ~ an earthquake in Georgia?!? *snickers* I wasn’t even aware anything had happened until I turned on the news. I didn’t hear or feel any rumbling. It could have something to do with the fact I can only sleep with ‘white noise’ and I share a waterbed with a restless sleeper ;-p Any noise would have been muffled by the sound of the fan (or could’ve been mistaken Scarecrow’s snores ;-p) and any motion would have been attributed to the 215 pounder slumbering next to me making waves in the bed *grin*
I am really surprised none of the dogs reacted like…well, like dogs. Not a one of the three canines living in our house barked even once (that would have woken us up.) My cat, on the other hand, tried to gnaw a hole in my skull…out of concern I s’pose ;-p

my dogs had no response either. i am wondering if maybe because supposedly the earthquake occurred near the alabama/georgia border, the dogs knew it wasn’t a threat? unlike of course the barometric changes that occur during a thunderstorm, that are very dangerous indeed!
hmmm…that is weird.
i think i’ve heard ov someone sleeping thru one ov those quick earthquakes.
Why-dog will not leave my side if she suspects a thunderstorm is on the horizon. Poor girl actually bolted through a chain-link fence when she was caught outside in a storm while we were out. She had a carport and the laundry room to sit in but she was that scared.
I was so exhausted I could’ve slept through a plane crashing in my front yard. Cat teeth on my scalp is a different story…
oh, yeah.
i haven’t been biten in my sleep when i used to have cats, but my Simba used to sleep near my head. he like to lay sidewayz. ironically i missed his brother, Mufsa more than him when he past away.
phoebe developed her fear of thunderstorms around 3 years old. she would jump on the bed and stand in my hair until dave got her drugs. now she just come over to the bed and breathes really hard. she always wakes me up and never him–i guess i’m really her mom now and not just some weird girl taking dave away… :P
Man…we were out of bed so fast! I grabbed my shotgun ready to kill someone! I thought that someone had either broken in to our house (without setting the alarm off) or it had been hit by a car…or some damn kids rolled my $300 grill down the back deck stairs….either way, someone was going out in a body bag!
Dweez is usually a sweet kitty ~ he sleeps on my pillow or under the blanket normally. I guess he was spooked and I’ve learned to sleep through his usual tactics ~ like sticking his paw in my mouth to wake me up *bleh* He’s not a biter normally…as a matter of fact I can’t recall the last time (if ever) he’s really tried to bite…
I don’t know what I’ll do when Dweez passes (he’s been with me for 13 years) … I was a wreck when my late cat Fritz died a few years back (aged 13 as well.)
Awww…too sweet!
Heehee…Scarecrow normally reacts that way ~ I guess we were both too exhausted to care ;-p
